Services
Whether the product is a new design or a revision of an existing one, we look to fully understand the motor or generator application and then develop a solution that is optimized for the specific requirement.
Design
Using theoretical knowledge and practical experience of electric machine design across all motor types, we can work with clients to create the optimum solution for their application, enhancing their products to give a competitive advantage.
Advise and consultancy
Motivity offers a technical consultancy service covering all aspects of; electric motor and generator engineering, manufacturing, machine design, diagnosing performance problems (including customer returns and failures), compliance with standards, expert witness and electric machine theory.
Testing
Our motor testing and fault investigation facilities enable us to analyze the performance and characteristics of motors and generators. In many instances, we can also carry out in-product testing of motors at our base in the Scottish Borders.
Fault Investigation
Combining practical manufacturing knowledge of motors and strong theoretical understanding, Motivity can investigate and report on the route cause of failures and make recommendations for corrective action.
Sourcing and Supply
With a global network for motors and motor components we can source and supply many alternative types of motor, either for existing customer designs or for our own.

Prototype Manufacture
With expertise, global contacts and in-house capabilities Motivity can manufacture prototype motors and generators. This enables real test data to be obtained, quickly providing proof of concepts and improved designs.
